My very first School, I started there in 1959 at the age of five.  I do not have very many memories of my time at this school but I do think they were happy times.  The entrance to the School was in Sandringham Road.  It was a small school with about 200 Pupils I think.

I would have gone to this school from 1965 to 1969.  I met Sheila while in my first year during the summer while she was waiting to join the girls school one year behind me.  It was possible to leave this school at the end of the fourth year while only 15.  As I had already set my sights on joining the Navy this is what I did.  In the April of 1969 I left this school behind me to join the Royal Navy two months later.
